Investor email templates for every stage
The emails a founder sends across a raise, in the order they get sent. Copy them, change the bracketed parts, and delete anything that does not sound like you.
These are the templates that ship inside VCTerminal. Highlighted fields like fund and partner fill in automatically in the product; here, just replace them by hand.
One rule before you use any of them: a template is a structure, not a script. Investors read hundreds of these. What makes an email work is the specific, true detail only you could write, which is what the bracketed prompts are for.

Sending rules that matter more than wording
- Send Tuesday to Thursday morning in the recipient's timezone. Monday is triage, Friday is ignored.
- One ask per email. Two asks reliably produce zero answers.
- Never attach a deck to a cold email. Link it, so you can see whether it was opened.
- Reply in the same thread when following up, so context travels with the message.
- Log every send. Nothing undermines credibility like emailing the same partner twice from two founders.
